Police keep looking for missing mother

Police are continuing to search for Anna Jansone, the mother of the deceased infant, and are urging people who head into the woods of the Ķemeri bog to report if they find a white bottle of antifreeze.

State police are urging residents who go to the forest in Jelgava municipality, Valgunde parish, in the area of the Ķemeri bog (along the regional road P101, between Liepāja Highway and Ventspils Highway) to pay attention to discarded one-liter antifreeze bottles.

Police have found that Anna Jansone had purchased such a bottle before she went missing and it may have been with her.

If such bottles are seen in the area, the State Police asks you to call 67086785 or 110 and send photos of the coordinates to email: [email protected].

As reported, on November 1, State Police announced Anna Jansone, born in 1989, and her daughter, Luīze Evertovska, born in 2023, missing. On November 2, in a forest in Valgunde Parish, police found a rental car “Toyota Corolla,” in the salon of which was a dead infant, Luīze.

Criminal proceedings have been launched to determine the cause of death. Meanwhile, the search for the woman continues. The woman wore a grey half-coat, black denim trousers, and black boots.

The father of the deceased infant has indicated that his spouse has seriously struggled with postnatal depression.
