This year five applications were received in the competition, while three – Cēsis, Līvāni, and Sigulda – qualified for the second round. Madona and Jelgava fell through in the first.
The competition “Latvian Youth Capital 2024” is organized with a view to promoting youth work among municipalities, strengthening local government cooperation in the youth field, exchanging good practices and experience, and continuing established traditions in working with youth.
The public vote on the www.jaunatneslietas.gov.lv website will run from Tuesday, July 18, until July 27 23:59.
