Starting November 2, day and night, parents or school staff may leave a report by emailing [email protected] or calling Rīga City Council department of Education, Culture and Sports customer service at 67026816.
The information on observed instances of rule-breaking will then be assessed by the department, if necessary, contacting Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC).
The contact line has been created due to increasing concern by parents and an occurrence at Rīga Secondary School No.71, where ten staff members became infected after the principal had allegedly gone to work even displaying symptoms of COVID-19. If this is proven to be the case, the principal may face serious consequences, including being fired.
