In July of this year there were 649 deaths more than births.
In the first seven months of this year, 10 471 thousand births were registered, and that is 3 % less than in January–July of 2019. 16 288 thousand deaths were registered, which is 2.4 % less than in January–July last year.
In July, 1516 marriages were registered, which is 390 marriages less than in the respective month of the previous year.
On 1 August 2020, provisional population of Latvia accounted for 1 million 900 thousand.
