Take note – story published 3 years ago

Good news for the statistically-inclined as the brand new Statistical Yearbook of Latvia 2020 has been published by the Central Statistical Bureau.

Main data available in the CSB database is supplemented with data visualizations in thematic maps and graphs to give number-crunchers plenty to get their teeth into over the festive period and beyond. One highlight includes a new map on resident population in densely populated areas.

The publication contains 14 thematic chapters: geographical characteristics, economy and finance, entrepreneurship, population, labour market, health care, education and culture, social conditions, industry, construction and trade, transport and tourism, foreign trade, agriculture, energy, science, information and communication technologies, as well as international comparisons of Latvian social and economic indicators.

In the preparation of the yearbook statistical data available to the CSB and other institutions, surveys carried out by the CSB, as well as data from state registers and other information systems were used.

The CSB releases Statistical Yearbook of Latvia for 73rd time already since 1921. The new publication reflects data on 2019 compared to previous years. In means of content, Statistical Yearbook of Latvia in Latvian and English is the most extensive of all statistical publications released by the CSB. The yearbook can be downloaded free of charge in the CSB website section “Publications”.
