No public fireworks on New Year's Eve in Latvia

Take note – story published 2 years ago

Due to the restrictions imposed, public New Year's fireworks will not be allowed to be organized, LETA reported December 27.

Last year, a curfew was set on New Year's Eve and public events and gatherings, including fireworks, were prohibited. This year, there will still be an emergency in which no public person or body is allowed to organize fireworks to prevent gathering.

There is no such ban for private persons, and it is allowed to shoot fireworks at midnight if desired. A maximum of 20 persons can gather outside.
