The Le Monde newspaper has named the French musician the most unusual pianist of her generation. She is visiting Latvia with a concert at the Latvija Concert Hall in Ventspils on December 1. For the first time she will be playing music from her Inland album on a unique vertical piano called the 470i created by Latvian Dāvids Ķļaviņš in Hungary. At 4.7 meters in height, this piano is currently the largest in the world.
Art Riga Fair 2019
December 1 will be the final day of the Art Riga Fair 2019 at the Latvian Railway History Museum. This year's artist included a special guest from Milan - photographer Giordano Morganti with his retrospection from the “Dr. Frankenstein” series and a new urban photography cycle. The fair has meetings and discussions, creative masterclasses, performances by new artists and many special surprises. The fair offers more than 1000 paintings, sculptures and high quality graphic artworks starting from well-known artists and finishing with young and upcoming talent.
Old Riga Christmas Market
The Christmas Market is officially open from November 30, but on December 1, the first Advent day, there will be a special festive opening from 17:00-19:00. The event will include the Christmas tree lighting, musical performances from the VEF Culture Palace "Momo" children's vocal ensemble, the Jaunmārupes mixed choir "Universum'' and other musical performances.
