Latvia's up-and-coming NBA player Kristaps Porziņģis (New York Knicks) scored 20 points in Wednesday's pre-season game versus the Boston Celtics, helping his team come ahead with 121:96, reported LSM's Gundars Galkins.

In 22:45 spent on the floor Porziņģis pulled down four rebounds, blocked three shots and made two steals. He missed all four three-pointers but scored seven of nine regular shots and was successful in six free throws.

Porziņģis scored the most points on his team while Jaylen Brown was the top scorer for the Celtics with 17 points. Knicks' leader Carmelo Anthony took a day off and two Celtics' leaders were absent as well.

Knicks will play the Brooklyn Nets in the last pre-season game prior to starting the regular season on October 25 with a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the 2016 champions.
