'Lielais Kristaps' national film awards handed out

Sunday, February 4, saw the award ceremony for Latvia's annual film prize Lielais Kristaps.

Films, directors, actors, operators, and other categories were nominated and awarded. 

The main prize - Best Feature Film – went to Pastkarte no Romas/A Postcard from Romedirected by Elza Gauja. 

Meanwhile, the most awards were received by the feature film Bezkaunīgie/The Brazen, whose director Aiks Karapetjans got a prize as well as composer Ivars Arutjunjans, operator Jurģis Kmins and artist Aldis Meinerts.

The awards for best animation, best animation artist and best animation director went to Roze Stiebra and Aleksejs Naumovs' film Sirds likums/Rule of the Heart.

Ērika Eglija-Grāvele was named best actress and Kārlis Arnolds Avots best actor.
