This autumn has been particularly kind to those who like spending time outdoors. Here are some weekend tips to keep fit and busy.

Rīga Autumn Sports Festival

On Saturday, September 23, 11:00 to 18:00 Rīga municipality hosts its annual sports and recreation festival at the Lucavsala Park. There will be activities provided for all age groups and fitness levels, including dance classes, fitness, functional training, as well as demos and a lottery.

Bonsai Autumn Feeling Festival

In Sigulda, at the Green Villa Square (Zaļās villas kvartals, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 3, Sigulda), an eastern-culture-inspired autumn festival will be held on September 22 to 24. The program includes tea ceremonies, wushu, kung fu, samurai, aikido demos, qigong practice, yoga, and meditation.

Miķeļi traditions at Grīziņkalns Park

If you want to experience a traditional Latvian harvest festival - Miķeļi - and still be active, Grīziņkalns Park is the place for you this Saturday. You will be able to learn and participate in Latvian folk dances and games, as well as learn about Livonian heritage and try Livonan foods.

The event takes place from 12:00 to 16:00.
