Away is a story about a young boy stranded on his own, trying to survive in a mysterious land while pursued by a dark spirit, and was made entirely by Zilbalodis over more than three years. The young director had already attracted the attention of movie industry bible Variety thanks to his impressive feat, and the quality of his finished work is such that Netflix was reported to have acquired the rights at Annecy, too.
