April 13 saw Pauls - universally referred to as 'Maestro' - sit himself down at a grand piano in Latvian Radio's near-empty sound stage for a concert dubbed "Alone in the studio" and and proceed to produce an hour of his trademark magic, featuring tunes from the many stage shows he has written over the years including Sherlock Holmes, Elizabeth, Queen of England, The Count of Monte Cristo, Forest Swans and more.
He even manages to sneak in a cheeky reference to social distancing with the "Kissing Song" from John Neiland.
