Three for the Weekend: Celebrating youth

This weekend, Latvia hosts festivals particularly targeted at the youth to celebrate the International Youth Day on August 12, along with activities to be enjoyed by everyone.

Youth Festival Tramplīns

In the Āgenskalns newly rebuilt market territory, the youth festival Tramplīns will be taking place on August 12, from 15:00 to 23:00. The festivities will include seminars, workshops, discussions, performances, sports, and other activities aiming at growth and entertainment. Youth Festival Kopums

On August 12 and 13, in Dzintaru Mežaparks, Jūrmala, the festival Kopums aimed at co-creation and free-thinking will take place. The festival particularly aims to bring together youth from remote regions of Latvia to provide them with opportunities on different NGOs, youth activities and leisure time opportunities. The festival will include forums, discussions, fun activities and performances.

Multimedial 'Night Walk'

In Arkādijas Park, Torņakalns, on August 12 and 13, everyone is invited to experience a night walk with light and sound installations. The performances will be on between 20:00 and 3:00 at night.
