The track on Krasta Street will be opened at 23:00 and everyone will be able to make one or several laps until 1 in the morning, starting and finishing whenever one pleases.

Latvian Jewish Music

During the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century the Latvian folklorist Emilis Melngailis documented the music and traditions of Jewish people living in the territory of Latvia and Lithuania, as this was a factor in the development of the Baltic music scene.

The music will acquire a Latvianized twist in the interpretation of the band Banga, with violins, button accordion, mandolins, drums, tambourines and bagpipes. Folk tales will be told, folk dances danced.

The concert takes place Friday September 11 at Žaņa Lipkes Memorial, Mazais Balasta dambis 9, Riga.

Free reservation mandatory - on Facebook or on Instagram @bangafolk or by calling +371 28609782.

Sigulda Hike

On Saturday, September 12, a hike around the most picturesque locations of Sigulda will start at 9:10 at Sigulda train station and end at the same place after 20 kilometers have been covered. Caves, castles, ruins and sights en route.

Food and drink, and comfortable clothing a must. Registration by messaging Pārgājieni pa Latviju on Facebook.
