Poetry Days
The annual Poetry Days festival has been ongoing since last Friday, and you can still catch some events this weekend – like a 'classic poetry evening' with poets Edvīns Raups and Liāna Langa at theater and jazz club Hamlets, the Baltic evening 'No More Amber' at NOASS, or Chinese contemporary poetry readings by Yang Lian at NOASS.
National Theater day at Kalnciema square
On September 10, 10:00 to 16:00, the National Theater Day will take place at Kalnciema Square, Rīga. The new theater season will be unveiled together with the actors of the Latvian National Theater. As usual, the Kalnciema market will be active with autumn goods, accompanied by musical performances.
Father's Day
For families celebrating fathers, a Father's Day festival will take place at the Vērmanes Garden in Rīga on Sunday, September 11, 12:00 to 16:00. Concerts and activities for the whole family will take place all day. The festival will begin with a march from the Freedom Monument to the Vēŗmanes garden where the celebrations will continue.
