Jazz returns to Saulkrasti this summer for the annual festival from Thursday, July 22 to Saturday, July 24, organizers told Latvian Television July 21.

The annual Saulkrasti Jazz Festival this year hosts jazz artists from Latvia, Austria, Israel, France, Armenia, the United States and other countries, while the main guest of the festival is guitarist Stanley Jordan from the US, the organizers said.

Saulkrasti Jazz Festival will be shorter than usual this year, three days instead of six. Raimonds Kalniņš, director of the festival, said:

"The recent times have been very difficult in cultural life, but we need to look forward and try to find solutions for how to gradually return it to our daily lives. Although this year's “Saulkrasti Jazz” is full of change [..] the festival's quality remains unchanged. [..] Nevertheless, I am pleased to be able to bring back world-class jazz musicians and the joy of being in open-air concerts together!"

You can view the program and more information about the festival and purchase tickets on Saulkrasti Jazz Festival's official website.
