Anatomy Next wins Latvian-American Innovation Award

Pioneering Latvian company Anatomy Next has won the Latvian-American Innovation Award 2019 for their virtual reality training system Trauma Simulator that allows medical students to practice and improve their performance in emergency situations, the American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia announced March 7.

A special textile containing metamaterial created by Dr.sc.ing. Inga Lasenko, Leader Researcher at Rīga Technical University, Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Nanotechnologies was announced as runner-up.

Honorable mentions were presented to mindful communication app Asya and Virutal OP Hub.

The winner received 10,000 euros and the runner-up 5,000 euros.
