More than nine million entries for Latvian receipt lottery

More than nine million checks, tickets and receipts have been entered by Latvian residents into the receipt lottery, according to the State Revenue Service (VID) on February 17.

“It's been half a year, and so we also thought it's the right moment to look back at the first half year of the lottery with the media and public - both a resident activity, as well as the first conclusions and benefits of this event,” said VID representative Evita Teice-Mamaja.

Today VID will announce the results of the lottery, including tax revenue. The lottery will continue this year as well. Teice-Mamaja said that the receipts VID has received contain a lot of useful information, which VID plans to analyze and compile, highlighting interesting statistics.
