As compared to October of the previous year, the number of nights spent by visitors comprised 201.8 thousand nights, which is 8.7 % more.
In the 10 months of this year there were 1.1 million foreign and resident visitors in tourist accommodation establishments, which is 16.2 % less than in 10 months last year and 53.8 % less than during this time period in 2019.
In October 2021 tourist accommodation establishments hosted 55.9 thousand Latvian residents, which is 22.8 % less than in October 2020. The number of nights spent by them comprised 104 thousand, and it fell by 23.8 %, compared to October last year.
In October 2021 the number of foreign visitors out of all visitors in accommodation establishments comprised 48.1 % or 51.9 thousand, which is 2.9 times more than in October 2020, however this is still 64.2 % less than in October 2019 before the pandemic. The number of nights spent by foreign visitors, compared to October last year, has grown twice and comprised 97.8 thousand.
