Braže will head to Estonia next week

On 6 May 2024, Latvia's recently-installed Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will make the short trip north for a working visit to Estonia, it was confirmed May 3.

While in Tallinn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, the President of the Riigikogu (Parliament), Lauri Hussar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margus Tsahkna, and the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu, Marko Mihkelson.

"Baiba Braže and senior Estonian officials will discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, regional cooperation matters, the security situation in the Baltic region, support for Ukraine, as well as other issues on the current international agenda," said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As part of her visit, the Minister will also take part in a roundtable discussion at the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS) thinktank.
