President and PM get second jab against Covid-19

President Egils Levits and Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš have received their second doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 on April 29 and 30.

Both Levits and Kariņš got their first jab of AstraZeneca vaccine February 11. According to the President's Chancery, Levits got the second dose on Thursday, April 29, though this time there was less coverage than the first time, when officials lined up among the first to get their jabs in an effort to encourage others to do so, too.

On Friday, April 30, the second dose of the “Vaxzevria” vaccine produced by AstraZeneca against Covid-19 was received by Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš as well.

According to the Prime Minister's press secretary, Kariņš feels well and continues to perform his duties.

The Prime Minister calls on everyone to use the opportunity to get a vaccine and protect themselves and others from Covid-19.
