Gatis Zamurs replaces Pavļuts in the Saeima

Take note – story published 3 years ago

On Thursday, January 14, the Saeima approved temporary position of Saeima deputy for Gatis Zamurs (Development/For!).

Changes in the Saeima were needed because the deputy Daniels Pavļuts (Development/For!) became Minister of Health and laid down his parliamentary mandate.

Zamurs was elected from the list of candidates for Development/For! party association in the Riga constituency. Gatis Zamurs was the executive director of the Latvian WoodConstruction Cluster until now, and he has a master's degree in business management.

Next on the list after Pavļuts was the current Riga councilor Māris Mičerevskis, who last year withdrew from Development/For!, and said that he would not accept the Saeima deputy mandate. Therefore, Gatis Zamurs was the next member of the Board of the faction.
