Latvian post alerts public of scammers

Take note – story published 1 year ago

Latvian Postal service Latvijas Pasts issued a repeated alert on July 18 about scamming activity, urging customers to be wary of suspicious emails.

E-mails sent as if on behalf of Latvijas Pasts indicate that a parcel has been received at the post and prompt the customer to confirm payments in order to receive the parcel. Scammers also offer goods on Instagram.

LP reminded that customers should always check the sender's e-mail address because Latvijas Pasts e-mail address always ends with @ pasts.lv.

Information can be specified at Latvijas Pasts Customer Center by calling 67008001, 27008001 or by e-mail at: [email protected].
