Due to the coronavirus pandemic, an online format will be used with moderators and a few key speakers located at the Latvian National Library (LNB) in Rīga leading virtual discussions with participants around the world.

Headline speakers include all three Baltic presidents plus NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Belarusian President-elect Svetlana Tikhanovskaja.

Discussion topics are very varied, including NATO relevance on both sides of Atlantic, COVID-19's consequences for deterrence, a post-pandemic global order, EU resilience in case of crisis, as well as infodemic. The conference presents seven panel discussions and two special addresses.  In addition to the main content four side events will engage with the audience by discussin women in security, the future of NATO, Baltic energy security, and the Quad group impact on security

Day 1 will take place under 'Chatham House rules' meaning that those events are only available to participants in confidence (so for example media outlets cannot report on the specifics of the conversations) but Day 2 is being streamed for all and there are also several interesting side events that will also be shown.

The general public will be provided with the opportunity to watch online on the Riga conference website plus on LSM, Facebook, YouTube, LMT Straume and other platforms.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Riga Conference. The conference is organized by the Latvian Transatlantic Organization in cooperation with the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Latvian Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with NATO's Public Diplomacy Division, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the Baltic States and the European Commission representation in Latvia.
