Car hits bus stop in Daugavpils, two casualties

Initial information available to the police indicates that on Monday, April 8, at 9:30 in the morning, a man born in 1984 lost control of a Toyota car while overtaking another car. He hit a bus stop where two women were standing.

As a result of the accident, the women, born in 1958 and 1961, died.

Initial information shows that the driver was not intoxicated.

The man has been detained and criminal proceedings have been initiated.
