From September 1 to 6, the film screening of the annual Baltic Sea Docs Forum will take place. Films will be shown in sessions in Riga, as well as online throughout Latvia free of charge on the portal filmas.lv, said Ieva Lange, spokeswoman for the Baltic Sea Docs, August 10.

The Baltic Sea Docs Forum brings together than 100 film professionals every September, while the latest documentaries are offered to the wider audience. This year, most of the Forum's activities will take place online, and films will therefore be available to viewers throughout Latvia.

Online, films will be played in the original language with subtitles in Latvian or English, in cinema sessions - with subtitles in Latvian.

Films will be available free of charge to viewers on the filmas.lv portal during set times.

More information on the film program is available on the website of the Baltic Sea Docs Forum and shortly will be available on filmas.lv.

The Baltic Sea Docs Forum was founded in Denmark in 1997 and has been happening in Riga for 16 years. The Forum is organised by the National Film Center.

At the Baltic Sea Docs Forum, filmmakers have the opportunity to present their future films to potential partners and industry professionals, as well as to participate in workshops and seminars led by international experts. This year, five film projects from Latvia have been chosen.
