Latvia's leading tennis player, Aļona Ostapenko, has been fined for unsportsmanlike behavior at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in England.

Ostapenko has been fined $10,000 after venting her anger on a chair and a water bottle after losing to German's Tatjana Maria in the fourth round of the women's singles. Ostapenko's rage was prompted by blowing two match points, and she was reportedly booed by the crowd as she headed for the locker rooms following her tantrum.

However, her tournament continues in the women's doubles competition where she is teamed with Ukraine's Lyudmila Kichenok.
