Traffic restricted in Kurzeme due to World Rally Championship

This weekend, Tet Rally Latvia - FIA World Rally Championship will continue in Kurzeme, where several national road stages will be closed. Therefore, drivers traveling to Kurzeme should expect heavy traffic and longer travel times, said Latvian State Roads (LVC).

On Friday, July 19, several sections of national roads will be closed and traffic restrictions will be introduced in the surroundings of Talsi and Tukums. Maps and the specific sections of the roads are available here.

On Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21, restrictions will be in place on some roads in Kuldīga and South Kurzeme regions during the rally. The road sections and maps are available on the Latvian State Roads website.

On the national road network, 69 sections are undergoing road construction and traffic restrictions are in place. When traveling over the weekend, please consult the construction map for information on all construction sections and traffic restrictions, and plan extra travel time if you need to cross a construction site.
