Businesses in Latvia, including start-ups, small and medium sized enterprises and scale-ups, have until March 6 to apply for the PowerUp! Challenge competition hosted by EIT InnoEnergy and supported by the European Union.

In Latvia several companies have already received InnoEnergy support, such as Hygen, Mazzy, and Atlant 3D. Last year start-up Atlant 3D won the Latvian final, receiving the opportunity to participate in Grand Final in Krakow, Poland, where they won second place and a cash prize of € 10,000, competing with the top 14 startups.

Over the past five years, InnoEnergy has supported nearly 200 companies, 121 of which are
already selling their solutions, and has helped them raise external funding of EUR 117 million.
Start-ups, participating at InnoEnergy PowerUp! Challenge, will compete for the title "Start-up
of the Year".

The winner of each country's regional final will receive a road sign for the Grand
final in Krakow, Poland, where they will present their ideas to a wide range of experts.
PowerUp! Challenge final will take place at one of the most important economic events in
Central and Eastern Europe - Impact'20. The first prize winner will receive a cash prize of €
50,000; second place winner - € 10,000; third place winner - € 5,000.
