Live casino company wants to become Latvia's largest employer

Latvia-based IT and gaming company Evolution Gaming this year plans to hire 1,600 new employees, the company told the press January 11.

"We want to become the leading employers in Latvia and currently we have more than 3,000 employees. The number of employees is growing every year," said the company’s representative Olesja Ivanova.

Evolution Gaming provides live casino services. Its shares are listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm stock exchange.

The group’s turnover in 2016 reached €115.5 million, while the group’s EBITDA was €44.6 million.

The Evolution Latvia company, which belongs to the Evolution Gaming group, in 2016 posted €58.283 million in sales and €4.009 million in profit.

Latvia is the main European base for the company, which in 2015 bought an office worth €12.4m in central Riga. 

It is known for a pronounced recruitment campaign targeting students, with the company's job ads routinely appearing at universities.
