More paid parking in Rīga as of Tuesday

As of Tuesday, 1 October, new paid parking spaces will be introduced in several sections of streets in Riga where there is a high demand for parking.

Paid parking has been set up "to improve parking on the sides of streets", as the previous system caused inconvenience to residents of nearby houses and other drivers. The changes have mostly affected the centre of the capital.

The changes affect a total of 14 street sections, eight of which have the C tariff, while the B and D tariffs have been introduced on two more sections each.

The new parking spaces are located in the following streets and sections:

  • Alojas Street: from Miera Street to K. Valdemāra Street and from K. Valdemāra Street to Tomsona Street (tariff zone C)
  • Eksporta Street: from Miķeļa Street to Muitas Street and from Miķeļa Street to Eksporta Street (tariff zone B)
  • Gertrūdes Street: from K. Valdemāra Street to Skolas Street (tariff zone B)
  • Grostonas Street: from J. Daliņa Street to J. Dikmaņa Street and from J. Daliņa Street (tariff zone C)
  • Hospitāļu Street: from Miera Street to Zirņu Street (tariff zone C)
  • J. Daliņa Street: from Skanstes Street to Grostonas Street and from K. Valdemāra Street to Vesetas Street (Tariff zone C)
  • K. Valdemāra Street: from Alojas Street to Mālpils Street (tariff zone C)
  • Nītaures Street: from K. Valdemāra Street to Tomsona Street (Tariff zone C)
  • Pulkveža Brieža Street: from Pētersalas Street to Hanzas Street (tariff zone D)
  • Rūpniecības Street: from Hanzas Street to Pētersalas Street (tariff zone D)

However, payment is currently only available on the Mobilly and Europark apps.
