Ghoulish fraudsters try to cash in on teen crash tragedy

Fraudsters are trying to make a living at the expense of the tragic accident that claimed four lives, State Police representative Zane Vaskāne informed the LETA news agency September 23.

According to the police, shameless fraudsters are using the recent tragic road traffic accident in Lizums parish, in which several young people died, for their own financial gain by distributing appeals to donate money. But these donations are to foreign bank accounts with no connection to the families affected by the tragedy, explained Vaskāne.

As previously reported, last week, four teenagers died in an accident in Lizums Parish of Gulbene district.
