MikroTik gives EUR 1 million to University of Latvia

MikroTik, a Latvian manufacturer of computer network equipment, has donated EUR 1 million to the University of Latvia (LU) Foundation, LU said in a release on September 20.

The donation will be used to support the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Technologies and the Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences, said the University of Latvia.

"MikroTik", which LU calls a "platinum patron", has supported scholarships and research projects for over a decade now. Since 2011, the LU Foundation has received more than EUR 6.5 million in donations from MikroTik.

MikroTik Ltd manufactures and develops computer network management tools, including software and routers. The company's equipment is distributed worldwide and is used by internet service providers, businesses and individual users.
