At the conference, organizers of the Baltic Way, leaders of the national revival movements and international experts will discuss the legacy of the Baltic Way.
"Taking into account the security situation in the world and the war waged by Russia in Ukraine, today the Baltic Way has acquired a new context and relevance. The purpose of the conference is to remind that we still have to stand not only on the path of the Baltics, but also on the path of all democratic countries and nations," according to the conference organizers.
The conference is organized by the Saeima together with the May 4th Declaration Club and the Popular Front Museum. The event will be opened by Speaker of the Saeima Daiga Mieriņa, Prime Minister Evika Siliņa and President of the May 4 Declaration Club Velta Čebotarenoka. Representatives from Lithuania and Estonia will also take part.
