Baltic Way conference to take place at Saeima

In order to look back on the events 35 years ago, when two million inhabitants of the Baltic States joined hands in the name of freedom, a conference dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Baltic Way will be held at the Saeima (Latvia's parliament) on Friday, September 6.

At the conference, organizers of the Baltic Way, leaders of the national revival movements and international experts will discuss the legacy of the Baltic Way.

"Taking into account the security situation in the world and the war waged by Russia in Ukraine, today the Baltic Way has acquired a new context and relevance. The purpose of the conference is to remind that we still have to stand not only on the path of the Baltics, but also on the path of all democratic countries and nations," according to the conference organizers.
