Photos: Gladioli in full bloom at Latvian Nature Museum

On the first day of the new school year, many first-graders can hardly be seen behind the gladiolus flower clusters. The variety of gladioli can be seen at the Natural History Museum from Wednesday, August 21, until Friday, Latvian Television reports.

This year, the preparation of the gladiolus exhibition has been a little more difficult than in other years, as many flowerbeds were affected by the weather. Nevertheless, collectors have managed to unite and show visitors dozens of colorful varieties.

Five gladiolus growers are taking part in this year's Gladiolus Fair and have exhibited around 150 varieties. The road to the show has not been easy, as the weather was not particularly favorable for flower cultivation.
