This year, "White Night" invites people to go on cultural and artistic experiments and adventures in the center of Rīga, Old Town, Jugla, Teika, Imanta, and elsewhere.
The White Night 2024 invites you to "open the unfamiliar, to look behind doors that are often not opened in everyday life and to listen to those who are rarely or never heard. We experience the city in a very functional way on a daily basis, White Night invites us to turn away from our daily rut, to talk in the language of art about the unfamiliar, the newly discovered, the moving, the inspiring... On this night, we are all together trying to create a space for conversation," said the organizers.
The Forum will "symbolically and practically connect Rīga from the Imanta neighborhood to Jugla, including the city center and the neighborhoods along tram route 1". The tram itself will also be transformed into a rave and a traveling performance during the White Night.
The 19th edition of the White Night Forum will host events that are already popular and highly anticipated by visitors, such as the untamed music festival Skaņu mežs, the Poetry Disco, the contemporary art festival Survival Kit and Videography: Space Textures, an exhibition at the Riga Contemporary Art Space and experiments in contemporary art and music. The popular projects will be joined by a number of new events.
