Trains between Jūrmala and Tukums replaced by buses Tuesday

Due to the damage caused by this week's storm, on Tuesday, July 30, part of the services on the railway line in the direction of Tukums will be operated by diesel trains and buses, the train operator Vivi said.

Train delays in all directions are still possible as the rectification of storm damage continues.

The Dubulti-Tukums-Dubulti section will be served by buses stopping at the following stops:

  • Dubulti railway station
  • Jaundubulti - Dubultu Prospekts / Strēlnieku Prospekts
  • Pumpuri - Dubultu Prospekts / Strēlnieku Prospekts
  • Melluzi - Mellužu Prospekts
  • Asari - Asaru Prospekts
  • Vaivari - NRC "Vaivari"
  • Sloka railway station
  • Kūdra - turn to p/p Kūdra
  • Ķemeri railway station
  • Smārde railway station
  • Milzkalne - turn to p/p Milzkalne
  • Tukums I railway station
  • Tukums II railway station

Buses will depart from the final stops according to the train timetable, but will likely gradually incur delays depending on road traffic congestion. Train tickets are valid on buses but you cannot take a bicycle on them.

On the Dubulti-Sloka-Dubulti section, services will be provided by diesel trains.

Latvian Railways is working to restore train traffic on the Tukums railway line as soon as possible. While the storm damage is being repaired, passengers are asked to be understanding and to use other means of transport as far as possible.
