Euroelections in Latvia: 4.1% of voters cast ballots in early voting

On June 6, the second day of advance voting in Latvia, around 48,000 voters took part in the European Parliament elections, and a total of at least 4.1% of voters cast their ballots on the two previous voting days, according to data from the Central Election Commission. 

Voters in Latvia will also be able to vote in advance on Friday.

The main election day is Saturday, June 8, when polling stations will be open from 8 am to 8 pm. 

On Thursday, June 6, voting was open from 4 pm to 8 pm.

In total, at least 63,157 voters cast their ballot in the EP elections on the two advance voting days at 948 polling stations across Latvia, as well as at home.

The highest percentage of voters who took part in the previous voting was from the Vidzeme constituency - 5.02%, followed by the Riga constituency - 4.29%. 3.82% of voters in Zemgale, 3.62% in Kurzeme and 2.31% in Latgale took part in the early vote.

The highest turnout was in Saulkrasti municipality, where 9.08% of eligible voters cast their ballot, the lowest - in Rezekne municipality, where 1.68% cast their ballot.
