Over the year, the actual unemployment rate has increased by 0.3 percentage points.
The unemployment rate for both men and women did not change and stayed at 8.2 % and 5.4 %, respectively.
The unemployment rate registered with the State Employment Agency (SEA) was 5.2 %. It has increased by 0.1 percentage points over the month and reduced by 0.4 percentage points over the year.
In July 2024 there were 64.8 thousand unemployed persons in Latvia (25.5 thousand women and 39.2 thousand men), which is 0.1 thousand more than a month ago and 3.0 thousand more than a year ago. Over the month, the number of unemployed men reduced by 0.1 thousand, and the number of unemployed women increased by 0.2 thousand.
